I hate to do what i did today, but i need to...

i presided over the meeting of the ced-sc this morning. i know it is not right but... the council needs direction...ced students are longing for activities that would somehow showcase their talents, explore their potentialities, do other peculiar things, socialize with other departments and the likes. i am not the only person who can do it, i know other ced-officers can preside, it's just that they have no enough courage--maybe intimidated,, ashamed or very reserved--to volunteer themselves. so i did.

our call time is 9:00 a.m. but they all arrived late, except Christian. so i talked to the dean about the plans or participation (supposedly plans by the sc) for the coming education week on Dec 2-5. then went to nixon's and dr. alberto's office and called ruel montanez. presto! everybody is available and committed to be speakers of the parallel seminars on the second day of the celebration.

there was silence when the meeting stated fifteen minutes before 11 am.
"you can leave the ced-sc office and the the position you are currently handling if you think you are not capable to perform all the duties and responsibilities given to you by your fellow students," my first statement.
then i add, "di karuwangan ang pag amin na di mo kayang gampanan ang pagiging opisyal."

then i asked each one about his/her assessment on the past semester and what went wrong with the ced-sc. everyone admitted his/her shortcomings and promised to be active this 2nd semester.

this erollment, and education week will serve as acid test to the promises of the council officers. i hope each one will become active as he/she promised. and i hope that ced students will appreciate the activities the ced-sc will launch on education week..
